celine accessories

(credit to emotions with jon hamm aka the best tumblr in the world run by tricia)

because i'm never quite done with fashion week and like to torture myself by drooling and crying over way simple handbags i'll never ever be able to afford, here's some closeups on the accessories from celine's show:

i might have actually shed a tear at this point

way excited to see the newest cover of the gentlewoman, which like everyone else, i am completely smitten with. when i get my hands on the newest issue (i get mine from books a million in case you're looking for a retailer who carries it), i'll be sure to share via photographs my favorite parts.

last night i watched the last days of disco (1980) and am already obsessed with all of alice's (chloe sevigny's characters) outfits and how could i not be? officewear + glitter in every scene. here's a few screencaps of her ensembles from the film:

keep it cute

I thought I'd share a few odds and ends in my life that have made me smile recently, since it's 20 degrees outside and I desperately need the reminder!

My new embroidery thread in the color scheme I'd like to live in:

Right now, Ventricular Projects is a long distance operation (though, come September, we should occupy a house in Austin with a corgi puppy and a Siberian kitten!). The main perk of the current situation, however, is fun things in the mail!

Art by Carly which I'll be distributing to three lucky Tilde Journal pre-orderers!:

Fun things I get to keep:

Until the big move, I'll be enjoying another pretty great living situation:

Finally, I thought I'd share my teapot with you, since it's served me so well. I feel a bit ashamed, however, having one teapot since I grew up in a home with a very impressive collection that I hope to compete with one day. Until then, isn't this one pretty nice?

tilde journal issue #2 preview two!

Tricia and I are way excited about getting Issue 2 of Tilde Journal printed and sent out to everyone soon and decided to do a second preview of some of the wonderful work featured in the zine. If you missed the first one, you can find it here.

We decided to extend the pre-order until the zines are printed, so if you haven't gotten a chance to purchase one yet, don't miss out! You can find it, along with our first issue, in our online store.

Thank you so much to everyone who has already ordered! It means a lot to us to know that so many of you are interested in our projects. <3

My Crown's Clothing

If Morgan from Crown's Clothing weren't so damn talented, I'd feel sorry for her. See, she shipped off a very lovely dress across the ocean only for it to end up on the dorkiest, awkwardest girl possible. One day, I'll learn to be in front of a camera, until then...

Here I am seemingly convinced that my ukulele is an electric guitar.

My attempt at being serious.

Gorgeous detailing!

As an avid cat fanatic and lover of whimsy inspired dresses, I might just have to purchase one of Leah Goren's pieces for this summer.

zine wishlist

my #1 ~bad~ (or glorious) online shopping habit is purchasing zines from etsy and little paper planes and of course, spending hours deciding which ones I want to purchase in the future. here's a few of my favorite purchases & a few I'd like to buy in the future (or you know, maybe receive as an easter gift).

Ladies First Zine by Sarah Clark

Not going to lie, this is probably the best thing I own.
